lunch at bayou
after all the effort and work for the demo last friday, our project manager gave all the business analysts and software engineers a lunch treat at bayou, plaza mont kiara. bayou is known for foods of type javanese, fusion, western and malaysian where the portion is relatively large. the interior, with soft lights, traditional furniture and comfortable nooks, radiates charm and warmth, making it a great place to have a lunch or dinner.
today is my second visit after a few months ago with my bosses. everyone was talking about how big the serving is for mee mamak and mee siam. so i had a go with mee mamak while sm tried the mee siam. how big it is? well, it's almost 2 to 3 times the size of normal mee goreng at those mamak stalls and the price is well over RM15. it tasted good except it's a bit wet for that portion and i had a try on sm's mee siam. personally, i prefer the mee siam more that what i had. after such a heavy meal, we ordered a couple of desserts and one of them recommended by sp was "spanish chikita". it looks like a cake that has slices of banana and walnut served with cream and toffee sauce. the only thing that is poor was the iced latte because it is as thick as the normal iced coffee and it's lack of milk. it just doesn't taste anything like latte.
